Many of the kids in the Haines Junction “Treble-Makers” Fiddle Club first held a fiddle at a 2015 Kluane Mountain Bluegrass Festival workshop. When school started in the fall, the wonderful Keitha Clark traveled to the Junction on Thursdays for a 6-week intensive program put on by Junction Arts & Music. The students, age 6-10 were hooked! The parent-run Fiddle Club was created, and they have continued playing ever since. The Treble-Makers already have some performances under their belt having joined the Whitehorse Fiddleheads at Rendezvous and for their fabulous Transportation Show in May 2016. These kids are very excited to perform on their home turf at KMBF 2017 and to be inspired by all the great fiddle players they will be surrounded by at the Festival.
